Example of Kanban Architecture

Purchasing simple flow racking and cointainers is one way of implementing a Kanban system.

Each box is labeled and holds the same amount of material. As one container is emptied, the full container behind it slides into position. The empty container is moved to a designated location for replenishing. The empty container is the signal to replenish to stock. The replenished container is loaded from the rear of the racking.

The following image shows an example of Kanban label information.
